The Dos and Don’ts of Social Media for Real Estate Agents

Are you feeling a bit lost in the vast wilderness of social media? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Navigating the online world can be daunting, but fear not! We’ve got some tips and tricks to help you make the most of social media and attract potential buyers to your properties.

DO: Use high-quality visuals that make your listings look like they belong in a magazine. No one wants to see dark or blurry photos of homes that look like they were taken by Bigfoot.

DO: Engage with your followers by responding to comments and messages. It’s like chatting with a friend – but this friend might buy a house from you!

DO: Share valuable content that helps potential buyers make better decisions. Showing off your knowledge will make you the go-to expert among your audience.

DO: Use video to provide a virtual tour of your properties and give buyers an immersive experience.

DON’T: Over-promote your listings, You risk annoying your audience and coming off as a desperate salesperson. It’s not all about selling – it’s about building a relationship with your audience.

DON’T: Slide into potential buyers’ DMs without their consent. No one wants to be spammed with messages about homes they are not interested in. (This applies to email marketing as well, but that’s another post.)
