Instagram has been going through a series of changes over the past couple of years. And it can get a little intimidating to try to stay up to date.
Here’s the rundown of the newest Instagram features:
Remix ANY NEW Public Video
Back in March 2021, Instagram introduced remixes for reels which closely resembled remixing videos on TikTok. Now, they are rolling out a new update that will allow creators to remix any new public videos – not just reels.
If you want people to be able to remix your videos from the past, you will need to manually turn that feature on.
New LIVE Scheduling Feature
According to TechCrunch, there is also a new feature for announcing and promoting your Instagram Lives. This is an awesome feature for creators that regularly use Lives and product-based businesses who sell products on Live.
Testing Creator Subscriptions
Instagram is also currently testing subscriptions for some Instagram Creator accounts. The subscriptions can give subscribers access to premium content including subscriber-only lives, stories saved as highlights, and subscriber-only stories. They will also give subscribers badges which will help them stand out in the creator’s inbox.
Don’t forget – Instagram is notorious for rolling out new features slowly. If you don’t have access to some now, nothing is wrong with your account. You just have to be patient (annoying, I know)
But you can use the interim to figure out how to use these new features in your Instagram strategy!
